The journey started in 2001 with a few children aged within 2 yrs. Then it’s name was “ LITTLE HUT”. The babies were taught through Montessori system. In 2008, 24th December, the name of the school was changed to TAGORE FOUNDATION SCHOOL, KOLKATA.

Some slow learner students are getting education here from play group to

Class VIII at least 2-3 Special & Challenged students of each class are getting

education with normal children in the same class. We have facility for those

students who are ready to sit for the Secondary ( Examination through NIOS,

National Institute of Open Schooling).

We are glad that out of about 150 Students, 25 slow learners, 28 special

children and 20 very backward and needy children are trained with

special fare by our specialized teachers. Some slow (earner students are

studying in class X. They are appearing in Secondary Examination through

NIOS, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOLING).
